HBF is a Ripoff I bought a water lily rhizome complete with pot and soil. As advertised, all I had to do was place it in the pond. Long story short, nothing grew. It may have been cooked in transit, but it's hard to say They put me off with various excuses for 9 weeks, apparently hoping I would give up. Gimme a break.

No one answers the customer service number, the chat is never staffed and I emailed more than a week ago and still no response. Three out of four? No one from HBF ever attempted to contact me to let me know that they had run out of a number of items! Holland Bulb Farms is a small family run business, and our customer's satisfaction is very important to us. While I understand they won't guarantee after the first year I kept hoping, was struggling with polymyalgia rheumatica so was overwhelmed by health issues so didn't follow through. Not even the arguments and stall tactics that some reviewers have mentioned, just no response whatsoever.

How hard can it be keeping them fresh for planting? We would be happy to issue a refund for the Beach Boy hosta if you would like. Please contact us [email protected] if you would like the refund for the original purchase price. It had been multiple weeks and I needed to get the order in the ground before fall. At the end of a shipping season, which is when your order was placed this happens much more frequently, as these items are eager to be planted, and have been in our warehouse for a few months. We are happy to be able to offer such good deals on such great bulbs--one more way help fill the earth with beautiful flowers! It does not open. They left us out to dry and frankly they should pay me for the 5 hours spent dealing with their idiocy. Holland Bulb Farms will remain forever on my "do not buy" list. If we call or email a customer and they do not get back to us for whatever reason that could delay their order further while we are waiting to get a hold of them. Instead, I received red and white replacement bulbs at no cost on my porch. When I wrote to get a free replacement as their guarantee states I was told that those messages are rarely read. The address was correct on our end, unfortunately the carrier made a mistake. We are sorry to hear that you feel this way about our company and services.
