Thank you so much! I appreciate all the comments provided by everyone here! Everything worked like a charm. Just because there's a hop does not mean it's doing double NAT. I looked through all the options and found no option for WAN Settings. I finally successfully connected my UDM Pro. Not everything is done twice if you set up your router, true but enough is, at the very least layer 3 routing is done twice …your setup would be better without any loss in speed if you bridge your router and allowed the att gateway do everything, with the exception of wi-fi.
