Many moons ago, when I was in college, wok of love reviews, I picked as many film courses as I was allowed, coz they were the coolest, and also, the funnest, and therefore, I got to watch a whole lot of movies as part of my curriculum.

First off I have to admit I'm a serious fangirl of Junho, but even though I'm slightly biased, this was a very good show with lots of twists, turns, drama, laughter, food and just plain good fun. My only criticism is that they suddenly forgot the horse for about 10 episodes seriously one of the best characters and a few differing dishes would have been nice, but all in all it was a great show and i'll totally recommend it, even if you're not a JH fangirl like me.

Hello hello hello! Not me sneaking in one more review for September! It surprised me in a lot of ways and I was seriously debating on how to rate it at the end. Wok of Love is a K-Drama that you can either watch as 19 episodes of about an hour or 38 back-to-back episodes of about 30 minutes I watched it in the latter format on Dramacool. This in itself is already quite a unique number of episodes, as K-Dramas usually tend to be a bit shorter, like 16 one-hour episodes or 32 back-to-back episodes. He is thriving and therefore not aware that within one day, his whole life will be crumbling apart. In the meantime, we also meet Mr. Despite their initial aversion towards each other, Chil Seong agrees to put Poong in charge of the restaurant, while he goes about the business he personally has with Yong Seung Ryong. Her dad is suddenly arrested for committing fraud and her husband just vanishes after not even turning up at the wedding. I have to say from the start that it took me a couple of episodes to get into the story. It started off with a lot of information and rushed character introductions. The three main leads already meet each other in the first episode, but this was also kind of confusing to me. At this point, only Poong had been introduced in more detail, so for the other two it felt like a very hasty and random introduction, especially since they were supposedly main characters but we had no idea who they were yet.

Maybe because the same scriptwriter, Seo Sook Hyang, wrote both shows, and for this one she was older and more daring! Wok Of Love was a breeze to watch, the story just flew by, the cast had great chemistry together, and I laughed and giggled during each episode, and also shed a few tears. If you have watched a bunch of Korean melodramas in a row, and feel depressed, then by all means take a break and check out this laugh riot rom-com drama! It won't disappoint. It could be just what the doctor ordered to cheer you up. I watched it on Viki at this link. It found a lot of devoted fans online on the streaming sites.

Film really was the coolest and the funnest, heh. Especially when we got to the part on animation and sat around watching cartoons together. Kinda the same thing with this show, for me, methinks. For the record, I watched 11 episodes of this show before calling it quits. Also for the record, I actually struggled with my watch from the get-go. Right away in episode 1, I found myself not jiving very well at all, with what Show was serving up. See what I did there?

Jang Hyuk just has this certain "je ne sais quoi" factor that makes him utterly magnetizing. The drama's unique setting, a struggling restaurant, provides a refreshing backdrop for the unfolding love story. Though the show is not something I look forward to all week it is nice, mindless filler. A part of me really likes the drama and the other part of me really hates it, a lot of Korean drama fans have given up on it after seeing the first couple of episodes and I cannot really blame them for that. Aw, thanks for enjoying the post nonetheless, Webby! Despite this rejection, Chil Seong refuses to become awkward around Sae Woo and they remain to be on good terms, even more so when he helps to get her dad out of prison. Cha In-ha Bong Chi Soo. The only thing I did not like was there was some loose ends. I still love analyzing film themes, but lately I just turn off my brain and enjoy stuff. I still felt like they were really weird, and I found it hard to understand or empathize with them. Cool - Jang Hyuk. I can't wait for Bad Papa!!
Set at a small Chinese restaurant, "Wok of Love" follows Seo Poong's attempt at survival, food and love. Sign In Sign In. New Customer?
Watch it for the actors. I remember I really empathized with his character in Missing Nine, and I also liked Geok Jeong, especially the time when he came with Poong to Finishing Touch and knocked a bunch of those guys out. Her dad is suddenly arrested for committing fraud and her husband just vanishes after not even turning up at the wedding. I liked the two ML's - but the rest of them were pretty forgettable except the guy with the grey hair. I went through the roof when she called him for breakfast and completely dissed him with the flowers when he showed up all spiffy and ready. Good series, but not great. The moment the first horse voiceover came on, I cringed as a reflex. Featured review. Basically, I found Poong too mean and brusque, not only with our female lead Sae Woo, but with just about everyone around him. I passed the classes and moved on. Clear your history. It surprised me in a lot of ways and I was seriously debating on how to rate it at the end.
Let will be your way. Do, as want.
Between us speaking, I would go another by.
