I'm not asking if SnS is too weak to beat the strongest monsters, because I know it isn't, I'm asking if my playtime with SnS won't translate well into other weapons.

For comparison, I have about 70 hunts with Switch Axe, a weapon I started playing for the first time about a week ago, and after a couple hunts the only issue I've been having is knowing what damage thresholds exist for when I latch onto a monster for a finisher so I don't die. Unlike SA, my main issues with SnS are damage and mobility. I know the correct combos and moves that lead into big damage, and I have no issue consistently performing perfect rushes, just that it seems hard to keep up with the monster, an issue I don't really have with other weapons. Any tips? Recommended skills that aren't crit? SnS is incredibly mobile, so keeping up with the monster shouldn't be that much of a issue. If it's only slightly away from you, the Falling Shadow Silkbind move will close the distance. It charges up in like six seconds so you can easily use it whenever you need it. If you have issues with the monster moving too much, remember the Sword and Shield can use items without sheathing, so you can take advantage of that and consider it part of your skillset.

Do not think this is just a beginner or support weapon. A single point of it is enough to deal significant damage. This build utilizes the powerup this skill provides.
