Skylanders Academy is a French computer-animated spin-off television series based on the Skylanders franchise. It serves as Activision Blizzard Studios' first animated production with Futurama writer Eric Rogers overseeing the creation of the series. The series premiered on October 28, worldwide on Netflix. It can now also be viewed on YouTube. The television series is completely separate from the storyline of the games with no direct tie-ins to sequels, being its own separate continuity. Under the teachings of Master Eon and Jet-Vac, the three of them will learn what it means to be a Skylander while fighting the evil Kaos and other villains of Skylands. Though he is nearly defeated, he manages to unfreeze the book and release the others who manage to defeat Kaos. For his courage and newfound humility, Master Eon makes Spyro a full-fledged Skylander.
