I went with my son today for an adorable lunch out I thought. He ordered Chimichanga with steak entree came with some rice and some lettuce not even a real salad. It was not even a whole steak. I was there earlier this week for dinner and this is a new menu with new pricing since then. I could go to an upscale Mexican restaurant and pay less in the area. See more…. My wife took me out to the New Mexican restaurant by Win Dixie and it was beyond phenomenal.

No reservations taken on Cinco de Mayo, but our group of four waited an hour to get in at 5 pm, and it was worth the wait! The Guac and Crab dips were a hit, but the Ceviche Tropical would have been a lot better The El Sombrero and Carnitas platters were great, and partially saved for take-home. A great night out for all. Met family here for a small celebration. The food was about average. Chips and salsa were ok but thge chips were not fresh. Quesadillas were good but needed more meat and the nachos with ground beef had a funny taste to them with more of My expectations for this restaurant were set much higher than I experienced. I am not sure why there are some bad reviews for this restaurant, but this is one of my favorite if not my favorite Mexican restaurant.
