Yet despite the latter, the story is far darker than it appears. In Part 2 of the "Balance" side story they share, it begins at lunchtime where Sayori finds Natsuki with her friends and enthusiastically waves to her, only to find Natsuki purposefully avoiding her and becomes crushed by how distant she is becoming.
