The Pell City Animal Control Center is a temporary home to stray or lost animals during the Alabama State mandated 7 day holding period.

ASPCI is a non-profit c 3 animal welfare organization that has no geographical borders when it comes to saving the lives of dogs and cats in certain situations. They receive no government funding and are dependent on donations of caring people, grants from foundations, fundraising events and adoption fees for funding. ASPCI currently manages five 5 animal welfare programs. These programs are only doable by working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians and other supporters in the community. The programs are foster care for dogs, pet adoption events, animal rescue, a managed admission program and SNAP. The Best Friends Network is comprised of thousands of animal welfare groups from every single state, all working to save the lives of pets in their own communities.

The Pell City Animal Control Center is a temporary home to stray or lost animals during the Alabama State mandated 7 day holding period. Once the holding time is over, any unclaimed animal will be evaluated for possible adoption or transfer to an approved rescue. We also accept surrenders of owned pets within our jurisdiction. Surrendered animals are also evaluated for possible re-adoption or transfer to rescue. Animals with special needs or medical conditions will be considered for adoption or rescue transfer, with additional counseling provided to the prospective adopter.
