Like most zones in Cataclysm, Darkshore has gone through a major redesign.

Unfortunately, the taint has spread into Darkshore via the various rivers flowing through the zone from their sources in Felwood; [ citation needed ] bringing the taint with them which is turning the land grey and dead, northern darkshore, and poisoning the wildlife and furbolgs with an insatiable rage. Maybe its just me, but Darkshore strikes me as the least interesting zone that the night elves northern darkshore had a presence in.

We need to show Night Elves are rebuild cities on their ancestral lands of Kalimdor at least for Darkshore and Ashenvale even after the war. Night Elves need to think about their future in Kalimdor. We could make a new area for Darkshore a third area: Darkshore after the War of Thorns and Ashenvale could be just an update of the assets for now. If Night Elves can build so many building in so little time some months? We need to keep in mind we get a little port really near to the ruins of Auberdine when the Alliance controls Darkshore.

It is known for its characteristically shadowed woods and rocky beaches, littered with ancient ruins and mountainside caves. The night elves of Teldrassil claim the shore as part of their new kingdom, and sentinels patrol the road from the port of Lor'danel towards Ashenvale to the south. It was the only Alliance zone on the mainland of Kalimdor before it became contested during the War of the Thorns. Old night elf ruins stand crumbling on the cliffs, infested with naga , satyrs , grell and haunting ghosts.
