Monster hunter world failed to join quest

Log In Sign Up. No matter what I do, I keep getting a "Failed to join quest" message. This has been going on for days. Why can't I join quests or respond to SOS all of the sudden? I've rebooted, switched sessions, tried well over 60 different quests with varying rank levels. It also sometimes happens that the SOS host is halfway around the world from you. I don't know why, but it seems you must also have a good connection to that host. Placid01 - 1 year ago - report. Update: a few times I was able to get in and enter the quest, but then a minute into arriving at camp the connection is lost and everyone is kicked out and I'm in the quest alone. That's a marginal connection, for sure. It's good enough to see the server most of the time, but when you add handshaking with the SOS host, who might have network issues of his own, there are too many dropped packets.
