User Name Remember Me? Michelin Power Pure. After running a set of pilot power 2ct's, I decided to fit a set of power pures today to see what they are like. I loved the grip and feed back the pilot powers gave in both dry and wet conditions and they gave me over miles of smiles. Although I ran the rear tyre to the edge, when the centre had worn to nearly nothing, I still had plenty of tread left on the sides. The pures have a larger soft section on the shoulders, which will give more grip at less of a lean angle, and a solid centre which should give a few more miles of wear.

I offficially mounted the first set of Power Pure tires in Israel, and after a week of riding here's what I have to say: [ I need to stress that much of what I experienced is subjective. Far from conducting a double-blind experiement with enough valid data points to validate the results, I changed not just the tires, but I also put a on the rear for the first time Having sticky sides and a harder, longer-wearing center seemed the perfect solution for someone like me. Stickiness in the turns: I like the stickiness of the Michelins in the turns. I can't feel an appreciable difference from the Pirellis. And on the straight-aways they also feel fine. Stopping: I did about a dozen emergency stops on the Pirellis before taking them off using the support posts of the guard rail as a rough measure of stopping distance Results: Same distance and same basic feel and stopping distance. Instills confidence.

Taking these into consideration, the power pure's should retain there profile better, for longer, for the my style of riding. Photo's have been added for profile reference and I have measured the tread depth at different points to monitor wear. I will try to keep this post updated on wear for the life of the tyres. Bike Miles - Tyre miles - 0 Front tread depth center - 4.

Howerver, there is no guarantee that these are the original tire size unless they came on the vehicle new. I didn't really notice any difference from the dry grip, although I was not pushing the tyres. It takes longer to wear a flat spot on the middle from straight line riding. UTC quote This is a great review thanks for sharing Looking forward to first hand experience on wet roads as that is where I feet my city grips could perform better Was going to Heidenau K66 for the grip. I have a set waiting to go on my R1 for Track days next year. I want tyres that last even longer though. Adventure Rider. When it finally rains, it is like driving on ice. Motorcycle Riding.

LidoCA , Aug 31, I think the movement was because of the lighter construction and thinner carcase. First dump in 50k miles and I now have a twisted ankle and skinned knee. Got a km trip around our Southern Island end of November and if there's enough meat left on the front which I hope there will be as it looks like it's hardly worn I'll be fitting a Pilot Road 2 to the rear road chip is rather coarse. And on the straight-aways they also feel fine. Down here, we talk about freeze dates. Bought 2 Bridgestones from P. I have approx k and they'll last me through out the summer. Chris, I'll be waiting on your review.
