I love this super market! Everyone is very helpful and has good selection! Only supermarket in Honokaa. Worst store I have ever been in. It's a shame because it's a long drive to Wiamea. But Malama was the worst store when I lived in Pahoa.

Yes twisted youth agreed. People are From community but Not For the community they will turn anything and everything away if you ask. Their answer is always NO and will turn you away unlike Foodland in Waimea customer service they will work something out Malama Honokaa Managment has no thought process compasion nor better judgment. Very weak! Un happy with customer service. Decent stock and availability of products. Pricing comparable-to and sometimes better-than KTA or Foodland. They have an indoor RedBox machine. Their steak plate on Thursdays is good. Bakery is in-house and good. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Why does the Foodland Corp let the honokaa malama market misrepresent the "Malama " brand, maybe just a guess, the refrigeration and store overhaul is something that they probably want to be Worst store I have ever been in.
