Feeney also cleverly intertwines an additional third voice, which adds to the high level of uncertainty featured heavily in this novel.
She had such hatred for Cat Jones for returning to a job that was rightfully hers. Still, I certainly got the gist of things and enjoyed the story.

The victim is a woman he recognises and knows very well, this is a secret he will have to keep or he will end up being a suspect. Not that I recall, but I listened to the audiobook which was great, but I have much less retention when I do that…. Luckily, she has a couple of things in her purse that might help her get through the day. A buddy read with Susanne that we both enjoyed! However, the beauty in this was that I was able to notice all the little hints that Feeney had beautifully scattered throughout the book. The story is a twisty and entertaining one to listen to and I am not sure if I would have enjoyed reading it as much as listening to it. Thank you to libro. Sep 6, Reply to Eva. The story is easy to listen to with the different sides to it, and if my focus wandered to something else, it was easy to get back into the flow of the story. Loading Comments Content warnings for sexual assault and grooming, but overall not as gory as many other thrillers today. And if she has dementia, how is she able to carry out this murder plot??? I knew picking up this book I would be engrossed, terrified, and desperate to know more! It's superbly well written. We just don't know because we can't be sure who is telling us the truth and who is lying to us, as the book progresses. Thanks Sofii, I hope you have the opportunity to read it. And the ending was very surprising and I did not come close to predicting it so that is always a bonus. Things do get progressively darker as the story goes on check trigger warnings below, for sure and a lot of it was pretty shocking, which of course holds my attention as well but some of it was hard to stomach. This is a fun, fast, entertaining read, perfect for the beach. Nilufer Ozmekik.
