Grand Valley State made one big play after another in the fourth quarter to advance in the Division II football playoffs and keep its national title hopes alive. The Lakers cut into the deficit when a fourth-quarter drive into the red zone sputtered, and they settled for a yard field goal from Josh Gorball to make it with to go. That set up a play, game-winning drive that featured three plays of at least 14 yards, the last a yard run by quarterback Cade Peterson that set up a first-and-goal from the Pittsburg State Two plays later, quarterback Avery Moore punched it in from 5 yards out to give Grand Valley State a lead with 35 seconds left.
