Friends, I have a really easy organization DIY to share with you today! After months of jotting down unorganized notes in a pretty unsightly fashion, I found myself wanting a more streamlined and prettier! So I grabbed a roll of washi tape and set to work customizing a blank dry-erase board I had in the garage. The result is something that is perfect for right now , yet is also totally temporary so I can pull it all apart when I eventually need something different. Let me show you this oh-so-easy way to create a perfectly customized dry-erase board so you too can have ultimate flexibility and adaptability in your planning!

And while I love pen and paper, I wanted to make something that would keep me organized and also double as colorful decor for my office. Create your design files in CanvasWorkspace. Weed away any excess vinyl. Apply a piece of transfer tape over your letters. Keep your guidelines as straight as possible with your letter to help with easy placement later on. To help place your vinyl as evenly as possible, align your letters with a t-square. This project really requires a lot of patience and leveling, so take your time when figuring out placement. I suggest laying out all of your vinyl on top before placing with transfer tape, just to make sure everything fits. Once your letters are in place, remove the transfer tape.

To help stay organized, I made a family schedule board to display in the mudroom. As a teacher, I always had the daily and weekly schedule posted in my classroom. It was a perfect, quick reference for me, but it was also a great resource for my students. This saved me time and energy, but it also taught my students to be more independent and solve problems on their own rather than relying on someone else for information. As a mom of three kids with different schedules, I find the same concept to be helpful. One glance at the board and I know which child needs their library book in their backpack, which one needs to wear sneakers, and whether I need to wash a cub scouts uniform. Before I step in and taking care of these situations on my own, I often ask my kids what they have going on that day and encourage them to prepare.
