Ok so the ending of V3 is confusing. Shirogane Tsumugi is the mastermind, the cast's personalities were crafted for the game and according to Shirogane the original Danganronpa games were fictional in-universe, etc, etc. Shirogane was lying out of her ass. The Hope's peak saga is canon to the V3 game. Did the V3 cast willingly join the killing game? In the final chapter of V3 Shirogane claims that all the characters joined the killing game willingly, but this is clearly a lie.
Danganronpa 3 ending
Once a student murders a classmate, the group has a short while to investigate the crime before taking part in a Class Trial, where they argue the facts and vote on the culprit. However, if the class gets it wrong, everyone else is executed, and the culprit walks free. The first two core games in the series followed a similar formula, with the class of prisoners being whittled down by murders and executions until a small group of survivors manage to discover the true evil behind the killing game. They confront that evil, and manage to find relief — in one form or another — preventing the whole assembly from being wiped out for good. Danganronpa V3 follows that same formula to the finale, where the true evil is once again uncovered. Will our heroes choose the correct culprit, bringing the story to a satisfying conclusion while paving the way for the next killing game to take place? There lies the most divisive element of this storytelling gambit. But in this, the in-fiction 53rd Danganronpa loop, the participants break the cycle. They band together and vow not to vote on a culprit at all. You only succeed by setting down the controller and not playing along.

That guy messed you up good, didn't he? Consider this a review or analysis or something I guess. Lies were well established from the beginning of the game and any ending that would not have a bunch of lies all over it would just not fit in the overall story. I never knew people were so forgiving of terrible writing if you just have lying as a theme. They probably view the events of the original games like WW2. I'm so mad right now Instead, they refuse to continue the killing game and plead for the outside world to let Danganronpa end. So it makes sense that Shirogane did as well, and had a more elaborate lie prepared to break the cast. Hope vs Despair means absolutely nothing and are just silly "us vs them" constructs created for the sake of entertainment She partners with a large remnant of despair affiliated organization that goes by the name Team Danganronpa.
The anime is the second animated series based on Spike Chunsoft 's Danganronpa video game franchise, and serves as a conclusion to the arc established in the previously released games and.
I later learned that he's just a bigoted fanboy I doubt this. The truth doesn't even matter if you've conditioned people to assume it's another lie. Even if a person's experiences within fictional works aren't technically real, they can still create long-lasting memories and even impart valuable life lessons. What do you need help on? If only there was someone else who also just beat the game who had their own thread and was also putting out their thoughts like this on this board. They confront that evil, and manage to find relief — in one form or another — preventing the whole assembly from being wiped out for good. Just like you're trying to label me for some reason. Most of these visual novels don't last more than 3 or 4 anyway. You guys take your lore so goddamn seriously. You were running from my post before I confirmed anything. However, many longtime fans found the game's meta twist to be an insulting anticlimax that seemingly patronized players and retconned the entire Danganronpa storyline. When you break up posts like that, I can't tell if you're being disingenuous with some of those questions I'm quoting the part that I'm responding to.
