Peter Ash shared that he is back on set filming his last scenes as Paul Foreman as the character's journey on the soap comes to a close.

Paul was in shock as he was told that if the diagnosis is confirmed, he would experience a "gradual but increased" loss of muscular coordination and, in the later stages, the inability to breathe unassisted. The doctor initially resisted telling Paul how long he had left because they still needed to confirm the diagnosis. However, she finally relented when Paul said he'd just search for it online anyway.
