It was a fortuitous statement long forgotten, but in Dawson jumped at the chance to become co-owner of Books on Beechwood when the New Edinburgh neighbourhood fixture threatened to close its doors. Its windows overlook a bustling street and sidewalk, nearby coffee shops, grocery stores and three retirement homes. Inside, about 7, books line the walls and racks.
