The rice does require some initial prep work, but is easy to do. You can even do this with left-over take out rice that has been chilled. Stir in the rice and bring back to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and cook until the liquid has been absorbed and the is tender, about 18 minutes.
