In , after years of following the Apple community, Basic Apple Guy decided to make his enthusiasm official by launching a dedicated Twitter account. Needless to say, we were thrilled he agreed to share his story with us. Basic Apple Guy is just a sliver of what I do! I work in a hospital setting, specifically in mental health. If you or someone you know has looked into mental health support for yourself or your family, odds are you have come across someone like me — who has hopefully helped you get the needed services and support.

It gets my projects in front of more people, which helps me feel I can commit more time to this account — which in turn gives me flights of fancy to consider how I might be able to turn this into more of a full-time thing as opposed to my hobby, basic apple guy.

This new creation is the result of Basic Apple Guy wanting a new wallpaper for his recent post on cable management. When it came time to write my recent post about my office cable management , I wanted a wallpaper to serve as the desktop image across my shots. A simple prompt and a couple of variations later, and Flow was the result. After that, the texture and clarity of the image were reduced to help produce an image that looked as smooth as possible. Finally, a subtle grain was reintroduced and a few final edits were made to polish off the wallpaper. FTC: We use income earning auto affiliate links.

Design wizard Basic Apple Guy is back with his latest creation — incredibly detailed, layered iPhone 14 schematic wallpapers in a variety of colors. Check out the work that went into this project below and download the new wallpapers for your iPhone. This project has been months in the making, and I am so happy that:. This project began on September 21, just a few days after the iPhone 14 became publicly available and the teardown started to come out. The photos released by iFixit were indispensable in this project, so I thank them once again for making these publicly available! With previous phones, and as is still the case on the iPhone 14 Pro, damaging the back of the device would require replacing everything but the display; essentially, a new phone. But with the iPhone 14, Apple introduced a protective aluminum panel sandwiched between the display and back of the device, allowing the two sides to be repaired far more efficiently. This still allows the glass front to be exchanged, but it now allows the back glass to get the same treatment without replacing most of the internal components. From a design perspective, this means that if I were to make a traditional schematic as though you were looking through the glass at the components, all you would see is the aluminum shield and not much else. Pretty boring.
