On August 4, , subreddit mods announced that the existing rules penalizing transphobia would be expanded to include a ban on the word "trap". This decision was met with fury throughout the subreddit, mostly from reactionaries weebs, who called for a war against the mods. After the August 4th announcement, there was an outcry from weebs about the restriction of speech by the administration. This outcry did not come without ridicule.
