Zuko and mai
For fans of Avatar: The Last Airbenderthe relationships between the characters are central to the series. While zuko and mai world-building and adventure are also fantastic, zuko and mai, seeing how these different characters interact with one another is also compelling. While Mai might have been close friends with Ty Lee and friends with Azulafor the most part, she seemed like someone who liked to be alone. In many ways, Zuko and Mai are total opposites.
This will be my very first post on Tumblr. Just judging by the way she was introduced to the story and her first in-show interaction with Zuko, I am going to argue that the decision to make her the endgame lover of Zuko was something that was decided very late. When we first encounter Mai, she is depicted as amoral, and pretty unemotional. They do NOT know at this point that Zuko will be pardoned and allowed to come back. If this was intended to be a couple we are supposed to root for, the story has a very strange way of showing that. It happens while he is working at a tea shop in the lower ring of Ba Sing Se.
Zuko and mai
Zuko and Mai knew each other since they were children. Mai developed a crush on Zuko and Azula and Ty Lee noticed this. Azula decided that it would be funny to create an awkward moment between them and convinced her mother to let Zuko play with them. Azula placed an apple on top of Mai's head and lit it on fire. Zuko immediately tackled her into the fountain in order to save her. Azula and Ty Lee laughed at them and remarked that they looked cute together. Mai was embarrassed while Zuko was simply annoyed that he got wet. Zuko was banished for a while but was eventually allowed to return home after he helped Azula defeat Aang. He and Mai began dating while they were still in Ba Sing Se. They kissed there while they were on a date and again while they were on a ship that was returning home.
This fits with what we see in Zuko Alone. After the children are rescued and order is restored, Mai breaks up with Kei Lo, who leaves her shop in tears.
Mai was the daughter and eldest child of Ukano , the former governor of New Ozai , and his wife, Michi. During the last year of the Hundred Year War , she became one of Princess Azula 's main allies, and therefore one of Team Avatar 's greatest foes, as well as Prince Zuko 's love interest once he returned to the Fire Nation. Mai was exceptionally proficient at throwing stilettos , a self-taught skill she developed out of boredom. Using small knives and spring-loaded stiletto holsters concealed in her robes, she was capable of besting numerous benders at once, despite not being a bender herself. She was recruited by Azula along with Ty Lee to capture the princess' brother and uncle , as well as the Avatar and his friends.
Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender love the series for the well-written characters, the exciting worldbuilding, and the compelling element bending system. But, what really drew fans in was the relationship between characters. While Katara and Aang might be the main couple to evolve from the show, Mai and Zuko are one that was actually together in the plot of the series itself. Fans were able to see this relationship develop and view some of the ups and downs of their dynamic. While some people ship Zuko and Mai with other people, they are the canon couple, and there are many reasons why they were great together. In many ways, they are one of the most relatable couples from the franchise, too. It wasn't as if they were together immediately and presented as if they were meant to be, the relationship developed more organically.
Zuko and mai
Avatar: The Last Airbender 's brooding Prince Zuko becomes the Fire Lord at the end of the series, but he lived a long life after that and returned in sequel series The Legend of Korra as an old man with his own dragon mount. A series of comics that pick up after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender 's series finale, "Sozin's Comet," detail the early days of Zuko's rule as Fire Lord, his search for his mother, and his continued conflict with his sister, Azula. Though Aang is the protagonist of Avatar: The Last Airbender , Zuko's character arc has been the most highly-praised among fans and critics. The son of the cruel warmonger Fire Lord Ozai, Zuko was left permanently scarred after his father punished his refusal to take part in an agni kai firebender duel by burning his face.

Mai tried to cheer up Zuko by suggesting that he boss around some servants or that they have some more fruit tarts, but to no avail. Start a Wiki. However, when Azula sent Mai and Ty Lee after Sokka and Katara, who were caught trying to sabotage the drill from the inside, Mai refused to chase them into the slurry pipeline, stating that despite how much lightning this act of defiance might cause Azula to throw at her, she would not go into that "wall sludge juice"—which gave the impression that Mai was not scared of the princess. Little is known about how or when Mai and Zuko will reconcile. When a group of elite earthbenders attempted to stop the drill, Azula sent Mai and Ty Lee to face them, which elicited approval from Mai as it was something to do. It was decided to set up a decoy caravan that would travel the regular way from the harbor to Hari Bulkan, whereas the Fire Lord took a secret route through the woods. While on his way home for the first time in 3 years, seeing an abusive parent who tortured and mutilated him, then banished him for 3 years, Zuko is desperate to confide in someone. Now we move on to the kiss itself. She never displayed any bigotry or xenophobia toward people of other nations, attitudes that were characteristic of much of the Fire Nation nobility, especially Azula. I do not believe this to be a coincidence.
The daughter of a powerful government official, Mai has known and loved Zuko all her life.
Zuko is very guarded and was not emotionally ready to invest feelings in a girl, especially while living a double life. Azula instead mused on how Mai had inspired her to take up the guise of the Kemurikage, prompting the nonbender to attack her in annoyance. There, Mai said goodbye to her father, telling him that he deserved punishment, but that he had also been "brave" in the end. Mai was fitting in well while Zuko was not since Azula had decided that they should hide heir royal status. Mai was exceptionally proficient at throwing stilettos , a self-taught skill she developed out of boredom. She joined Suki in a game of Pai Sho and later, joined the rest of the group in making fun of Sokka's amateur drawing; in Mai's case, his efforts made her resemble a man. Left alone in the Dragonbone Catacombs , Zuko and Mai shared moments of awkward silence. Neglecting to inform Mai about this is what ultimately drives them apart again. While aboard the Fire Nation drill, she vehemently refused to enter the slurry pipeline to pursue Sokka and Katara, unconcerned with the consequences of disobeying Azula's order. When the meeting ended, Mai was happy to hear that Zuko was allowed to sit by his father's right side, but he told her that even though he acted like the son his father wanted, he was not being himself. They do share some adorable moments in the show, but there are just other people they seemed to have more chemistry with. Mai developed a crush on Zuko and Azula and Ty Lee noticed this.
This phrase is simply matchless :), it is pleasant to me)))
I apologise, but, in my opinion, you are not right. I am assured. Let's discuss it. Write to me in PM.
