As with all new restaurants, we encourage you to visit, but expect occasional bobbles along the way as the staff is trained and procedures are learned. Theme restaurants used to be more popular, and we applaud the decision to bring the concept back and offer this fun experience to a whole new generation of diners. This is not a me-too Tex Mex place; the broad slate of unique dishes meld both Texas cuisines into something both unique and craveable. Chef Gina Antimo brings her very personal approach to Mexican cooking to the establishment, and her care is evident on every plate. The menu changes weekly; Gina creates new dishes from the best and freshest ingredients available… but a few dishes make repeat appearances, including the stellar Enchiladas Verdes, one of our favorites. We never expect to find great ethnic foods in the suburbs, but Mezze 1 turned our expectations upside down.

The Huliaris family inherited the name, The Olive Oil, from the original restaurant owners. Whether you go for lunch or dinner, you are in for a treat with their expansive menu. The Olive Oil features a belly dancer, Greek dancing and plate smashing on Friday and Saturday nights. This is an excellent spot for a casual family dinner or even a date night, in a relaxed atmosphere. But while Greek food is obviously their specialty, The Olive Oil offers so much more, like burgers, fish and chips, Fettuccini Alfredo, pork chops to name just a few of their non-Greek choices. Freshly prepared Greek cuisine has been gaining fans since the day they opened. Owned by Toula Hulliaris and her husband, they bought the restaurant from the original owner in who decided to return to Greece. The Huliaris family saw the potential that the restaurant had for The Woodlands area. We changed all of the recipes when we bought the restaurant and trained our chefs to our expectations of fresh ingredients and the homemade sauces and food. The entire family had a hand in the restaurant, including daughter Marianna and son George. We treat everyone who steps into the restaurant as family, whether its staff or customers.

The owner is very kind and personable. He was happy to provide a little taste test for our picky eaters. The tacos were delicious and packed with meat. We were given 4 corn tortillas and so much Best boba I've had in the Houston area!

The kitchen is obviously experienced in Indian food; dishes like the Samosa Chaat were beautifully balanced and full of flavor. We offer freshly prepared Greek food that will keep you coming back for more. Excellent housemade tortillas are crafted into craveable signature tacos; we were particularly impressed by the Poblano, bursting with grilled angus, slices of grilled poblano peppers, jack cheese and their tasty poblano sauce. I didn't know what to pick so I had the chicken shawarma combo and it was delicious. The chicken was very savory.
