Plenty of areas in the game need some love and care but it might be a while before the developers address those. That's why turning to the modding community is a good way to improve the game. The strategic, turn-based isometric gameplay is a refreshing throwback while also being updated for gamers of the s. As huge fans of Pathfinder: Kingmaker, we were excited about Wrath of the Righteous. It lived up to our expectations. Our list includes the best visual adjustments, quality of life improvements, and additional content that we think push the game closer to perfect. We tried to avoid low-impact mods like portrait packs and custom portraits, but if those sound interesting, they are easy enough to seek out.

If it was not for the fact that you cannot respec your companions from level 1 with a class of your choice, I probably would not have touched any mods at all. It makes planning encounters needlessly trickier. We got already a good list of recommendations for players who have finished multiple playthroughs already to give the game a fresh feel, as well as for beginners who might be overwhelmed by the game and can find relief with mods.
