I've played the Witcher 1 half way, I beat the Witcher 2 but this one is supposed to be the jewel in the crown but it just doesn't click for me no matter how many times I give it a try. I know the gameplay has never been the focus of these games but honestly after playing games such as Bloodborne and Dark Souls, the combat in TW3 just feels dry. I dont want to compare these games but I kind of have to in order to break down why I dont like the Witcher particularly 3's combat system In the Witcher 1 you could have multiple stances which I really enjoyed and the leveling system was much better as there was a sense of linear progression but in this game the first 20 hours is excruciatingly boring. The entire White Orchard portion of the game is a glorified tutorial.

TW3 combat shines on Death March in my opinion. I put Witcher 3 into the same trashbin as Skyrim. I just want to end it by saying I don't want to compare this game witcher 3 boring other games.

Leveling up in this game—as with so many AAA action-adventure RPG-style titles these days—is grueling, an endless parade of side quests and enemy battles. I, meanwhile, am a chronic one-leveler, always yearning to operate at one or two notches above the suggested level for a given task. For Witcher 3 this has led to the inevitable: being trapped in the grind. Back in the day, it just meant throwing yourself into battle after battle, trying to accumulate those precious points hello, every Final Fantasy game. Now, games usually give you more ways to do this beyond straight combat. Put another way, grinding is a big, stupid chore. Spending them on the grind can be, well, a drag. Unfortunately, with Witcher 3 , it is an unavoidable one. As soon as I completed the first main quest, I arrived at a different area of the World Map severely under-leveled. Those side quests enable players to figure out new fighting mechanics and to try new combat tricks with little risk.

There were more elements to the exploit, I enchanted every dagger to boost that skill and increase their value to earn copious amounts of gold. In Zelda, journeying from one place to another is usually a puzzle and adventure in itself, but in W3 it's just walking from point a to b. Old Pals gwent quest Side Quest. TW3 is better in every aspect. It's a boring, overrated game. When I came back to it I fell in love with it and it's been my favorite game ever since. While not a game killer by any means, bugs are plentiful when playing this game. He's a witcher most of them are serious.

No offense. I learned this the hard way because I went to do the Eternal Fire quest underleveled and the red miasmal boss was almost impossible to beat but I stilll cheesed it with quen spam, it just took me forever to beat it. King Eredin is just the same dark lord that every RPG player has faced. Crashing on menu and map screens. I had to do the same years ago after completing DS, so stop whinging and do something about it Witcher 3 is overrated. I hate botw. I value story driven games.
