OK so my game was actually bugged, i reloaded the druid camp and shes there. If I don't save Shadowheart, she doesn't run away. She can be found in the Druid camp if you don't find her on the beach.

The first and most obvious place you can recruit Shadowheart is while you're still on the Nautiloid. If you manage to free her, she'll follow you during the prologue up until you crash, where you can then find her on the beach. However, if you don't manage to free Shadowheart from the Nautiloid, fear not, as you'll be able to find her near the Overgrown Ruins Waypoint, just north of the beach. Her attitude to you here will be slightly more hostile, but she'll still agree to join with you nonetheless. If you walk past Shadowheart on the beach or don't head over to the Overgrown Ruins at the start, you can find Shadowheart again in the Druid Grove, sitting near the oxen.
