On Sunday 26 November Pontefract Town Centre will kick off the festive season with a wholesome Christmas themed day out including the traditional switching on of the Christmas lights at pm! Join us from midday on the picturesque Market Square of Pontefract to explore the Christmas Speciality Market bursting with local produce and those essential little stocking fillers!

A preview event will take place on Friday 24 November , pm, to coincide with the private view and opening party for our new exhibitions. We are delighted to announce that our popular Festive Market returns this winter, taking place in the newly-created event space at Tileyard North, the refurbished textile mill opposite the gallery. Applications are welcomed from emerging and established UK-based artists, designers, independent makers and producers working in print, textiles, jewellery, homeware, ceramics, stationery, cosmetics and aromatics, plants and floristry, food and drink, and gifts for children. Last year, we welcomed just over 10, visitors across the two Festive Market weekends. Please read the frequently asked questions below before applying. The event started on Saturday, November 25, and its last day is on Sunday, November It will be back on Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3, There are more than 90 stalls each weekend selling everything from candles, ceramics and homeware to cosmetics, jewellery, gifts for children and stationery and textiles as well as food and drink.
