This place has been in business a long time. It opened inand was built on wooden pilings over beverlyvega water on Lake Pontchartrain in Slidell, Louisiana. Hurricane Katrina destroyed the place, so they moved to this inshore location in a strip mall.

As I write this I am looking forward to my next trip because this place is a hidden gem. We were greeted by a very charming and enthusiastic hostess who lead us to our table and then we were greeted by our cheerful waitress. My fried flounder with a shrimp and crabmeat cream sauce was done to perfection and served piping hot. The flavors were magnificent as the sauce complimented the flounder it was on. My wife got the crabmeat au gratin and plans to get again.

Taco time springtown

We ate because we were hungry and it was there. Thank God I live in New Orleans. Angel hair pasta covered with crabmeat sauce with a fried catfish filet topped large blackened shrimp. Each item, although all were breaded and fried, was distinct in flavor and texture, with different batters used for each: fried catfish, scallops, oysters, shrimp, stuffed shrimp, hush puppies, stuffed crab and soft shell crab.
