My Hero Academia is currently in its Final War arc and it goes without saying that this is the most important part of the story. Everything that Horikoshi has done over the years has led to this point and it'll be extremely interesting to see the many plot points be finally completed in this arc. One of the most intriguing plot threads right now is that of the Todoroki Family , specifically Toya Todoroki. Going by the name of Dabi , Toya has endured quite a horrific past and that has shaped him to be one of the most intriguing villains seen in the story of My Hero Academia. Now, Toya is at the crossroads of life with his father and it'll be extremely interesting to see whether he ends up surviving or not.

Being the only child who inherited both Endeavor and Rei's Quirks, Shoto was often separated from his siblings. After witnessing how Endeavor abused his mother, Shoto began to despise Endeavor and refused to use his fire powers as a result, though he began to use them more after a fight with Izuku Midoriya. However, there are drawbacks to either side's overuse. Shoto has received positive reception by critics, with many praising his character development and origins in the anime. However, unlike his siblings, Shoto was the only one who inherited both Endeavor and Rei's quirks, which was Endeavor's goal with the marriage, as he wanted a successor who could defeat All Might. When Shoto was a child, he was subjugated to harsh physical training by Endeavor, who would beat Shoto up brutally to make him stronger. His mother was also abused by her husband, which resulted of her poured boiling hot water on the left side of his face after she snapped, causing a scar on the left of his face. This experience negatively affected both Shoto's mental health and his feelings towards his father, alienating himself from his peers. Due to this distaste for his father, he refused to use the fire portion of his Quirk, or socialize with other classmates. After his fight against Izuku Midoriya in the U. Sports Festival, Shoto began to be more accepting of his fire powers. Shoto also became more sociable as a result of spending more time with his classmates.

This article is about Shoto Todoroki 's older brother. He is the eldest son of the Pro Hero Endeavor , driven insane due to his neglectful and selfish actions, and becoming a villain to enact revenge. He became affiliated with the League of Villains , a former member of the organization's since disbanded Vanguard Action Squad , and later one of the nine lieutenants of the Paranormal Liberation Front. Dabi is a reasonably tall, pale young man of slim shape but somewhat muscular build, described as in his early twenties. He has white hair with a few red flecks at its crown that spikes upward around his head, hanging low over his eyes, which are thin, turquoise, and heavily lidded. Dabi's hair was dyed black before revealing his true identity. His most striking features are undoubtedly the patches of gnarled, wrinkled, purple skin that cover much of his lower face and neck, all the way down past his collarbone, below his eyes, around his torso, and on his arms and legs due to him losing control of his fire Quirk at age 13, engulfing him in flames. These appear to be attached to the rest of his skin by multiple crude surgical staples or hoop piercings.

I feel that maybe because he's naturally weak, either Touya got the worst beating out of all of the siblings or got neglected really badly, or 'died' for some reason, or maybe he got up and ran away from home to escape Endeavor's abuse. Touya would also tell Natsuo everything about his inner thoughts and turmoil and lean on him for emotional comfort. Knowing that the rest of the siblings knew that they were failures to their own father, I think that Touya, as a child, took it to heart and now wants to feel stronger or better.
