Welcome to YouTube Millionaires , where we profile channels that have recently crossed the one million subscriber mark. Every day, old buildings and sites are demolished to make way for new development. Weathered barns are razed and replaced with condos, Industrial Revolution-era warehouses are traded for shiny shopping centers, and abandoned attractions are scrubbed away to make room for parking lots, or duplexes, or baseball fields. They originally intended to use YouTube to casually document explorations of abandoned sites in their home state of Florida. As the their adventures took them to more locations around the U.

The Proper People is a duo of YouTubers , Bryan and Michael, who film and photograph abandoned areas as part of various urban exploration ventures. The channel began in and has amassed over , subscribers as of February Provides examples of: Abandoned Area : Of course. It's the main focus of the channel. Angry Guard Dog : They encountered quite a few while exploring some areas in China, though fortunately the dogs were smaller and more of a nuisance than anything. Author Appeal : Bryan and Michael have an interest in mechanical keyboards, and will highlight any they happen to find, especially to comment on the feel of the keys. Author Tract : Some videos venture into this, when the hosts usually Michael express admiration for the artistry of older buildings and disappointment that newer architecture tends to feel "disposable". Berserk Button : Downplayed. Both hosts have a thorough dislike of drop ceilings, especially when they cover up more unique or artistic architecture, and will typically make fun of any examples they encounter. Early-Installment Weirdness : Earlier videos are less stylistically consistent and noticeably not as serious as newer ones. No urban exploration to speak of there at least in the usual sense of the term. Lonely Piano Piece : Some of their videos feature a recurring slow piece of piano music over cinematic shots of the location being explored. Nothing Is Scarier : During one exploration, the duo start to hear footsteps above them. A little unnerving, but they figure it's just scrappers and begin to be more cautious.
Every now and then, though, theproperpeople, we do get some gems suggested to us. So unfortunately we have to say theproperpeople to these requests.

Bryan and I soon discovered a website called abandonedfl. Once I saw that building, the imposing architecture style was ingrained in my memories. Hearing the stories my father told me growing up about going inside as a college student himself, to seeing the building as a young kid and remembering looking up at the massive, imposing spires had me always wondering what was inside. YouTube is their full-time job, and a way for them to instantly share what they enjoy with viewers. We are secretive about certain locations in order to protect them. Right around when I was graduating high school, I discovered that there was an actual community around exploring abandoned buildings, and that there was even a name for the hobby: urban exploration. It certainly was an amazing experience. If they can't outright hide the faces of others they happen to come across by keeping them out of frame, they'll blur or block them as well. Really, though, we should be wearing them more. The truth is, we came up with the name before we even knew what we were going to post on our YouTube channel.
