The book of life costumes

Each year I search for inspiration for a costume that will allow me to express my creativity, innovation, and spirit of Halloween.

Maria Posada wears an off-shoulder top with a red long skirt. Complete ht the look by wearing the hair in a ponytail or by donning a brunette wig. Meanwhile, Manolo Sanchez wears a black bull-fighting coat and pants styled with gold-toned embellishments and patches. He wears boots, too. He also carries a guitar. The film follows over two lads competing over Maria Posada. Meanwhile, Maria is a lady from an affluent family with a fun-spirited twist.

My son and I recently watched the new animated movie, The Book of Life. I started by buying a red velvet fabric and sewing the long dress. Each year I search for inspiration for a costume that will allow me to express my creativity, the book of life costumes, innovation, and spirit of Halloween.

This homemade costume for girls entered our Halloween Costume Contest. My 9 year old daughter Snukumipeypey Orona is wearing the costume. We saw movie previews for The Book of Life about 6 months ago. How To: Hat - foam construction hat from Michaels, the base cut out of foam board and then spray painted red, skulls, trim, and candles all made from foam and lots of hot glue, details painted with paint and some with permanent marker, flowers made from tissue paper, couldn't find large pink feathers so glued a bunch small ones to pipecleaner, artificial fern for green. The dress - red dress, glued same tissue paper flower with some artificial flowers, foam candles, skulls, and the cuffs, choker made from black ribbon, gold foam and Velcro.

This homemade costume for families entered our Halloween Costume Contest. We have a tradition of celebrating Day of the Dead in our family and when The Book of Life came out we fell in love with the movie. Since our boys were little we have enjoyed choosing a theme to suite our whole family.
