This was later expanded to a series of books after a re-release of the books in color, with two coming out per year starting in It is currently unknown how many books will be adapted into graphic novels. Starting in , the Baby-Sitters Little Sister books began to be adapted into graphic novels. From , four graphic novels by Raina Telgemeier were published by Graphix, an imprint of Scholastic, with illustrations in black and white. Later in , after the popularity of some of Telgemeier's other books, the first four graphic novels were re-released in full color by Barden Lamb. Because they continued to be popular, more are being produced with new authors and illustrators: Gale Galligan for graphic novels , Gabriela Epstein and Chan Chau alternating for graphic novels , and new artists for various books announced afterwards. Profiles at the start of the books introduce the reader to the current club members and their names and images. Books used the same profile pictures but with differently colored backgrounds.
