Talia is an occasional lover and enemy of Batmanthe most cherished child of Ra's al Ghulknown as the Daughter of the Demon. As a high-ranking member of the League of Assassinsshe is sometimes referred to by titles like Talia Head or Talia al ghul al Ghultalia al ghul, signifying her status as Daughter of the Demon. For a time she was a key member of LexCorp.

Talia remains the primary antagonist in Grant Morrison's second volume of Batman, Incorporated as she leads Leviathan in attacks against Batman. She was partially responsible for the death of her own son, Damian Wayne. Much of her background is not clearly explained though her history is relatively well known. She was a woman of Chinese and Arab descent. After her death Talia was taken care of by her father, as she traveled the world and learned all the skills she would need to help her father with his criminal empire, including espionage and hand-to-hand combat.

The character was voiced by Helen Slater and Olivia Hussey in the DC Animated Universe , which became her first appearances in media other than comic books. She is most commonly depicted as a romantic interest for Batman, a villain, or a combination of the two. Her father , the leader of a worldwide criminal and terrorist empire , considered Batman the man most worthy to marry Talia and become his successor. Talia has saved the life of Batman or helped him on numerous occasions. The majority of her criminal acts have been committed at the behest of her father and motivated by loyalty to her father rather than personal gain. She had been depicted as morally ambiguous or an antiheroic figure. Recent depictions have shown her to be more often an enemy of Batman and a supervillain in her own right, such as leading the League of Assassins , [14] [15] as part of the Secret Society of Super Villains , [16] and as the mastermind behind Leviathan. In the story, Batman rescues her from Dr. Darrk, apparently the leader of the League of Assassins. It is eventually revealed that the League is just one part of Ra's al Ghul's organization, The Demon, and that Darrk apparently turned against Ra's after failing in a mission the usual punishment for this is death.

Talia also appears in the Silencer series once again as the leader of Leviathan. She tries to brainwash Batman, so they can finally be together.

Talia al Ghul was an assassin and a member of the League of Assassins , as well as the mother of Damian Wayne. She eventually fell in love with Bruce Wayne Batman and gave birth to a son named Damian who later chose to live with his father, but she remained at odds with them both due to her criminal lifestyle. She also despised good-heartedness in a person and was acquainted with Jason Todd. Batman and Damian later started tracking her after learning that Talia had been hired to kill the mayor of Gotham City. After the Anti-Life Equation started turning everyone into the Anti-Living , she hid in the League's main safehouse in the city which was the Gotham Bank and slaughtered all the infected she encountered there. Damian was able to discover her location due to his earlier surveillance of her, being accompanied to the bank by along with Jon Kent and Cassie Sandsmark. Talia realized that Bruce had died after seeing Damian in the Batsuit and accompanied him to the Batcave , where she saw him buried alongside Nightwing and Tim Drake. When Damian started crying while hugging Stephanie Brown , she tried to pick a fight by chiding him for becoming soft under his father's influence, which angered Jon and Cassie.

Her role in stories have varied between antiheroine and villain, due to her divided loyalties to her father and being in love with the Batman. Talia has also served as a member of various factions, including Leviathan and the Society. In her youth, Talia traveled the world with her immortal father learning and adapting his intellect and skills which she proves to be more competent than any of Ghul's other children. She excels to the point in managing his criminal and legitimate operations, that she is eventually appointed as Ghul's primary secondary despite the fact that Ghul considers women to be inherently inferior to men. Ghul is supportive of his daughter though has commented that if possible, he would correct "that sole failing" in his child suggesting that he fears any possible distortion of her through chemical or biological modifications despite his aversion to her as a woman. Talia first meets the legendary Batman when he rescues her from Dr.

Since birth, Talia had Damian trained by the League of Assassins and kept his existence from his father.

Millions of lives will be saved. During Final Crisis she was once again seen as a member of the Secret Society of Super Villains, this time under the leadership of Libra. While Batman was preoccupied with a series of cases, Talia's body is taken from the grave by her father, Ra's, so that he may resurrect his daughter and his grandson, Damian, whose body was also taken. Injustice 2 Talia appears as a minor character in the Injustice 2 tie-in comics, where it's revealed that she and Batman have a second child, Athanasia al Ghul. Furious that Batman may be dead, Talia sends her assassins injected with the Man-Bat formula to murder Jezebel Jet who played a major role in Batman's death , which they accomplish.
