A lot of differences but fundamentally you will get a more sophisticated navigation system with on watch topo and road maps on the Garmin Fenix 5X. Also on Fenix 5X longer battery life and generally, wrist size depending gererally more consistent wrist HR but due to size of the watch still not as reliable as a smaller size and weight watch for me such as Garmin With Baro you will get a more comfortable watch to wear day in day out, I think more stylish too, a superior interface if you value simplicity and elegance over every bell and whistle.
