Farming is the skill associated with planting, growing, harvesting crops on the farm, and caring for farm animals. It's one of the main sources for cooking ingredients. When the player first begins the game, they are given a quest from Anne to plant some wheat. This serves as the introduction to farming within Sun Haven. To till the earth the player must equip the hoe in the utility bar and left click the ground. Seeds can only be planted in tilled ground. To undo an area that was previously tilled, the player can right click while having the hoe equipped. To plant seeds, the player must have the seeds on their utility bar they cannot be planted from the inventory. If the cursor is above tilled ground, it will highlight and allow the player to plant the seed. Once the seed has been planted, crops then need to be watered daily in order to grow. If a day is missed, the crop's harvest will be delayed a day. If it is raining the player does not need to manually water their crops.

Interacting with the birds occasionally can reward you with Wheat seeds, which are some of the most important seeds since wheat is used in many different crafting recipes. Allows the player to change their language. This control sets how fast the in-game days progress. The slider has 4 options: 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 40 minutes. The time selected is how many real-time minutes will pass for one in-game day. This slider can be changed at any time, allowing the player more or less time on specific days, if there is additional work the player feels they need to accomplish prior to going to bed. This does NOT stop time while in shop inventory menus. If unselected, time will not stop while the player is in dialogue with a NPC, time will continue passing for as long as it takes to finish the conversation. This option will reset the player's story progression in the main storyline. The player will have to recomplete most of the main story quests and will lose access to both Nel'Vari and Withergate until they are unlocked again. Confirmation is required to reset progress.

In Sun Haven, a feature like this does not exist. The fertilizer must be applied on the first day the seed planted. Is this a bug or do i need a scrarecrow? Each season has its own set of pests, therefore each season has it's own scarecrow. If you do skip the introduction, you get a Keepsake that is only accessible by skipping the intro.
