The string won't bump advance and then I lose 1 of the 2 strings, I thought maybe I wasn't winding it right so I bought the easy head and replaced the stock one. This head allows you to just slide each end of the string in the head and then turn the knob and just wind it up until it's all inside the head. The problem is I'm having the same issue. I keep losing 1 string and sometimes both strings and have to open up the head and pull them back out. What am I doing wrong?
Well I'd just like to add that 4 years later I'm still using the Supercut heads and nowadays with minimal fuss and I really like them Its not to do with loading to much line as can happen at the beginning of re- loading, stihl trimmer head problems. I don't want to go out and buy another head the same and have the same problem.

I do tend to gun my tools but I recognize the sound, it's broken a tooth on the spline gear in a little over 2 months of Not everyday use. Haven't even sharpened it yet. Ran it once in the rain and it was knackered at the end of the day. I know they don't like high revs but this is ridiculous and verging on not fit for purpose. What's the commercial guarantee?
