Spyro tree tops
Tree Tops is a rather complex level with much fewer landmarks than most in the game. As such the descriptions for these Dragons will be a spyro tree tops more involved than the others. When you start the level, spyro tree tops, follow the main route forward and up some steps until you get to a view to Glide to a spot with an archway and a Red Thief.
On this page you'll find the walkthrough for Spyro's Tree Tops level. It's known to be one of the more challenging levels of the Spyro games. Head into the first room and kill the Banana Boy and his big brother, the Strongarm, for two Blue Gems. Continue up the steps and kill the next two Strongarms to collect a Green and Blue Gem, then continue onto the balcony and kill the two Banana Boys for their Blue and Green Gems. Kill the two Strongarms in the lower area for a Gold and Blue Gem, ignore the Strong Chest, and hop up the steps, picking up three Red Gems along the way.

I don't want to look it up, I want to solve it myself, but hope is growing more and more dim. I just don't know what I'm missing. Would anyone be willing to give me just a little HINT? To truly see how tall they are, you would have to climb up to this large village of huts, supercharge ramps, and carved caves. To look down from up there would herald nothing to look at but a dark abyss below and the sky above is only lit by the aurora. Because of this, the Beast Makers have erected various torches and lanterns around the plank walkways along the limbs.

The Spyro the Dragon games put an emphasis on exploration, tucking away loads of different secrets for players to uncover in their various levels. In particular, the green thief in the Tree Tops level of the first Spyro the Dragon can be tough to find. From the start, torch the enemies ahead of you and then hop up the stairs, but instead of going through the doorway jump through the two windows on your left. Follow this path up and around until you need to glide over to a platform with a bunch of huts and a supercharge ramp.

Jump across to the island ahead with the tall stone structures on it, then jump right and onto the next Supercharge Ramp. Restart level. This is by far the worst spot in all 3 games, i wonder how people could come up with the right sequence back in the 90s with no Internet to look it up. Land on the balcony where the first Strongarm was on this island and down to the lower area where you can smash the Strong Chest to get its Gold Gem. Here's a tip: The longer you've been supercharging, the higher the jump will be! Jump left and as high as you can from here and Glide at the top of the jump arc to Glide to a stone island where Jed is. I don't want to look it up, I want to solve it myself, but hope is growing more and more dim. Look for the Whirlwind on the left edge that will return you to the start. Was this guide helpful? As a heads up, when you go off the next Supercharge ramp, there will be a Sealed Chest in the landing zone you can only break while Supercharging. Go up the steps in the first room again and look for the two windows on your left; jump through the right-hand one to land on a walkway, the start of Path B. Get there, then jump up the steps at the back to find Isaak at the top of a Supercharge Ramp. Return to the top of the steps and hop up to the outcropping and carefully Charge the two Metal Chests to get their Green Gems.
