The only Marriott property in the center of Pigeon Forge, SpringHill Suites tries to cater to all brand loyalists with a waterslide for the kids, work desks for business travelers, and free breakfast for all. The hotel is just a block off the main Parkway, close enough for easy access to the area attractions, but far enough that rooms don't get traffic noise. The rooms are all suites with small living and working areas, but their bizarre layouts can be confounding -- for so much square footage, they can feel cramped, and TVs are inconveniently placed. Both the Clarion Inn and Music Road Hotel have rooms nearly as large and actually offer more amenities for noticeably cheaper rates. The long lobby has the woodsy, earth-toned palette befitting the area, and makes use of cut stone accents on the front desk and a central fireplace in the lobby, around which guests can relax. Slate walls around the elevators add even more rustic character, but, beyond that, the atmosphere is pretty typical of a Marriott, with a lot of clean lines and all the typical modern amenities aimed to attract brand loyalists, from families to business travelers to tourists. The trolley stop and the only movie theater in town are both one block away. Mini-golf, MagiQuest, and several bars and restaurants are within walking distance.
