In this study, it is aimed to investigate the impact of teaching summary writing strategy on reading comprehension performance for a student who reads in braille and to reveal the student's views on the strategy and the teaching process. A case study research method which is one of the qualitative research designs was used to carry out this study. The participant of this study is a one -male student in the 4th grade special education classes whose age is 12 years and 3 months. In the research, evaluation sessions, teaching sessions and social validity data were carried out by the first author of the research. Reading comprehension tests were prepared for 3 selected texts which are used to determine the student's reading comprehension performance before and after the instruction. The research was carried out in the stages of pre-teaching assessment, preparation for teaching, modeling, guided practice, independent practice, and post-teaching assessment.
