Shadcore is a solid core door which can provide fire resistance of up to 60 minutes in a more extensive range of door sizes, as well as larger glazing areas. The heart of the Shadcore door is a high density solid chipboard core giving consistent performance and durability without subfacings or internal framing. Doors and doorsets are purpose-made, with extensive freedom to choose frame and edge details, glazing designs and ironmongery. All Shadcore doors and doorsets are purpose-made to sizes required. Sizes for fire doors are validated by independent test or authoritative assessment as providing the period of fire resistance stated. Size envelope graphs are shown below. Doorset configurations Doorsets can be supplied in many configurations, for example with door height or storey height frames, with or without overpanels and side panels, in equal or unequal pairs, and for single or double action. In most cases storey height doorsets can be supplied rather than a door and overpanel.

Shadbolt doors

Shadbolt acoustic doors and doorsets are purpose-made to provide superior appearance combined with good or excellent sound insulation in a wide range of applications. For special applications high-performance acoustic doors up to 43dB SRI Rw can be supplied, with the same level of features and performance. See Acoustic doorset range table for a summary. All Shadbolt acoustic doors are solid cored without internal framing. The core material is generally selected by Shadbolt according to functional requirements. Doors and doorsets are purpose-made to sizes required. They are available in an extensive range of sizes, validated by independent testing. Doorsets can be supplied in many configurations, including single acting single or double doors, latched or unlatched.
