Navigator brings together students, administrators, advisors, faculty, and other staff in a collaborative network to holistically support students across the college journey. Navigator is a student success platform used at over US higher education institutions and implemented throughout the CSU. Navigator is the primary student success platform for faculty, staff, and campus resources, and it empowers students with the ability to schedule appointments across campus for advising and tutoring support. This tool lets users raise early alerts for students, create a kiosk system, initiate proactive advising campaigns, and innovatively help students graduate on time. Navigator uses innovation and strategy to enhance coordinated care systems and proactive outreach efforts through data analytics. Navigator empowers the campus community to identify and eliminate barriers to student success and improve the student user experience. Navigator is a student success platform being used at over US higher education institutions and being implemented throughout the CSU. Navigator is an online tool to connect undergraduate students to faculty, staff and campus resources. Through this tool, users can raise early alerts for students, create a kiosk system, initiate proactive advising campaigns and innovatively help students graduate on time. The training sessions are an excellent opportunity to schedule a 1-on-1 session to go over Navigator topics, introduce the platform, and explore how to use the Navigator platform in an impactful way. The training sessions are configured for minutes, but an individual may request longer sessions for their training. An appointment is required before a role can be request for an individual.

Graduate students typically get academic advising from the graduate coordinator in their program. The mission of the Undergraduate Advising Center UAC is to support students success and to empower them to take responsibility for achieving their academic and personal goals. The Undergraduate Advising Center uses a proactive, data-informed, holistic advising approach to support students, offering guidance, advocacy and education to assist students in their first-year transition to SF State all the way through to graduation. The Undergraduate Advising Center has LCA specific advisors that can help you with choosing a major, finding a major advisor, and preparing for your meeting with a major advisor. We offer classes in multiple formats and sizes, as well as community service learning classes and internship experiences. We maintain several computer labs for classroom and individual use.
