The 7S26 was first released in , but its production has since been discontinued. The 7S26 movement can still be found available inside of earlier, entry-level Seiko 5 watches, such as the SNK Newer entry-level Seiko watches, including the recently updated Seiko 5 Sports lineup, instead use the upgraded caliber 4R36 movement with hacking and hand-winding.
