What new fans might not know is that the first Sandman comic book was a collaboration between Gaiman and artist Sam Kieth , as well as inker Mike Dringenberg. After his brief run on Sandman , Kieth made his mark on comics as the architect of The Maxx , his creator-owned title that MTV developed as an animated series.
