It was a particularly brutal opener and the resolutions to each of these wasn't quite satisfying -- the prison stabbing scenes were … unpleasant as well, let's say. Those kinds of scenes are usually done to show the brutality in the physical violence that we often gloss over in movies and TV think History of Violence , but Sons seemed to glorify it as revenge. The turmoil within the gun-running gang, split in twain and the members turning on one another. Tig's self-destruction may be the best part of Season 2. His tripping acid scene, when he ate the 'shrooms with Half-Sack in "Balm," seemed harmless and then out of nowhere he breaks into tears and apologizes to a doll -- Donna. The next thing you know, he's confessing to Opie his transgressions.

These ranks range from the positions of power within the club, the roles that help facilitate the smooth operations of the club, and the soldiers that help with the more violent and illegal aspects of their organization.
