The mission of the Family Medicine Residency is to train family medicine physicians who will distinguish themselves by providing excellent care in the practice setting of their choice through training with our diverse population in a community-based, unopposed setting. RUSH Copley Family Medicine Residency provides residents the opportunity to interact and directly work with physicians who are integral to their communities and model the traditional, full spectrum scope of family medicine. The program provides opportunities for residents and students to practice in an inpatient and outpatient setting located at one site, the RUSH Copley Medical Center campus, on a daily basis. As a bed community hospital, RUSH Copley Medical Center provides high-quality care to the community through the use of both traditional medicine services, in which the primary care physician provides inpatient care, and hospitalist services. RUSH Copley is part of the Rush University System for Health , an academic health system whose mission is to improve the health of individuals and the diverse communities it serves through the integration of outstanding patient care, education, research, and community partnerships.
