Adidas reopened Friday after an expansion that more than doubled its square footage. The previously 5,square-foot store now totals a little over 10, square feet at the outlet mall in Simpsonville, Kentucky. John Allen, general manager of Adidas, said the sportswear shop overtook a space formerly home to True Religion, which expanded to another suite in the mall earlier this year. The revamp of the shop allows it to offer a deeper selection of product. Allen said that includes the ability to fulfill online ordering in the store and offer more inclusive products in terms of sizing. The store had a soft opening on June 30, with a grand opening on July 1. Located next to the Jockey and Columbia Sportswear, Adidas has been a part of the Outlet Shoppes since its grand opening in Allen would not disclose the number of employees or investment into the property. A new restaurant opened at the mall as well, the press release said. The restaurant offers pulled chicken, boneless turkey ribs, a variety of sides and desserts.
