Remote Sensing Systems RSS is a world leader remss processing and analyzing microwave data collected by satellite microwave sensors. Our mission is to provide research-quality geophysical data to the remss scientific community. Ambulances are an important disaster response partner. However, in a disaster, local agencies will likely be adversely affected to the point that they may be unable to respond even to their own communities. The need to develop a coordinated approach to manage requests, movement and support of ambulances in a disaster presented itself in several instances in recent years although none of these events required the movement of large numbers of vehicles. The establishment of Camp Gruber and Falls Creek as major evacuation centers significantly renewed coordination as an issue. Many private sector ambulances responded from various parts of Eastern and Southern Oklahoma to assist in the evacuation needs in those areas. Few providers were reimbursed for actual costs incurred in their response to these evacuation centers. We recognize that Oklahoma does not exist in a vacuum. We have seen in the terrorist attacks of and the hurricane responses of that a coordinated regional response works best for the needs of the emergency locale as well as providing for the continuing emergency response capabilities in our home districts. We see the need to be prepared for regional response to pandemic flu outbreak and other biological disasters. Among other recommendations for system improvement and development, the Task Force recommended the development of regional ambulance strike teams to respond to natural and man-made disasters within the State and outside the state as well. CCMP is a combination of ocean surface 10m wind retrievals from multiple types of satellite microwave sensors and a background field from reanalysis. The resulting product is a spatially complete dataset available every six hours that remains closely tied to the satellite retrievals where they are available and closely collocated in time and space. Where satellite retrievals are not available, CCMP is statistically consistent with satellite winds. Creating a L4 product using this method of combining satellite and reanalysis data ensures a smooth transition in the wind field between regions with and without satellite retrievals. CCMP includes most of the wind-sensing U. CCMP V3. Note that several substantial adjustments described briefly below were applied to the ERA5 winds before they were used in the analysis. Gap-free ocean surface wind data of high quality and high temporal and spatial resolution are useful for a variety of purposes and are necessary for studying large scale air-sea interactions that affect the atmosphere and the ocean.
