This agency is soliciting funds to help a family with 6 children 10 and under to adopt three special needs orphans reeces rainbow bad orphanage situations in eastern Europe, reeces rainbow.

I am absolutely pro-adoption. My first child was adopted from an Eastern European country and we are in the process of adopting from an Eastern European country, with Down's Syndrome, a second time. In fact, my stance on Reece's Rainbow stems directly from being pro-adoption. My children are not from Reece's Rainbow as Reece's Rainbow does not facilitate UK adoptions and I would likely not go through Reece's Rainbow if they did, but that's for later in this post. In this way my opinions aren't meant to be a personal attack on parents who have gone this route for their children. I believe that the orphan crisis is real because I've seen it firsthand. Any child who has been rescued from the conditions of the orphanages in some of the Eastern European countries is a lucky child and any parent who has rescued a child is a lucky parent.

I want to open the floor for this discussion with the following preface: 1. Nobody is saying that these children in orphanages don't deserve a good loving home, reeces rainbow.

American families are being enriched through the adoption of children who are neglected in their native countries. The nonprofit U. The Stouts spent six months going through the process of adopting Paul from Ukraine and brought him home in November. Meg spoke with the Register from a hospital in Salt Lake City, where they are arranging for Paul to have surgery to fix heart defects — a medical challenge that many babies with Down syndrome face. They do definitely make it more difficult, but I think that the photolistings cause my harm than they do good, at least in the long run, because while they cause leaps and bounds for the meantime, they could be a huge setback. We only know each other through friends, so I didn't know that. We were educated about attachment issues before our dd arrived. This is such a hot topic for me that I am going to refrain from answering. Down Syndrome Can we have a discussion about Reece's Rainbow? I've always heard the number one rule of adoption is to not change birth order. I'm just a person with a heart for orphans who loves their mission and helps raise funds for a particular one -- my blog has more info. They put on their little charming act, or their helpless little soul act, and nobody could ever believe that the child could do things you claim. Not all will. Those children need families. I think it completely depends on the family and situation.

I am very curious now about adoption agency licensing. So yes, photolistings do exist and are fine in other countries, but the laws of those countries are different from the laws of Eastern European countries. I just did not want this site to get a bad rap for a situation they did not make any decisions about. How could it be made up if it's on that site? Pamela H in Texas Posted November 17, Display as a link instead. I wonder if there is any federal licensing or if it is just state based or what state this agency is in. As you said, the short term good of illegally photolisitng kids in order to get more of them out could have the unintended long term consequence of shutting the whole thing down, and then how many kids would be sentenced to a life spent in an institution? I mean to say, if it's illegal to post them why isn't it illegal to take pictures of children in the orphanage at all? Go to previous page.
