While cleaning up I noticed that the membrane is cracked where the seat bench meets the wall corner. I followed directions to a tee. Second, suggestions on how to repair? Third, I am planning on cutting an opening in the finished wall to add a recessed shelf. I was going to use kerdi to line the recess. Is kerdi over the redgard OK, or should I line the recess with redgard too? I am also thinking of overlaying Kerdi on the top of the bench which would fix the crack problem?
I would sit down and have a very in depth discussion as to how everything is going to be done, redgard failure. To me it's the most practical and cost effective water barrier
