Japanese izakayas, or Japanese tapa bars, have become a common thing in Vancouver the past few years. Izakayas are a great place to wind down and relax, enjoy some drinks, rajio restaurant vancouver, and delicious food in a great and loud atmosphere.
Rajio Public House is the only place in Vancouver we can think of that serves Kushikatsu. This originated from Osaka and is a bite-sized portion of food typically meat or veggie and coated with breading. Sauce is provided for you to dunk it in. In the left picture, we have an array of skewers chicken pork, beef and lamb pops and in the right picture, we ordered halibut which was the special of the day. We both loved the halibut one and had mixed feelings about the others. My personal favorite was the chicken because it was fairly juicy and tender.

I suggested her taking maternity photos, and I had been contacting a few friends or their friends, but at the end, we decided to take photos by ourselves. So, we went to buy some clothes to cover her breast and under abs on a weekday. The store was somewhere on Marine Drive in Vancouver. After the purchase, we were talking about where we wanted to go for dinner. This was on our list since the end of last year. It is in Point Grey area, next to Kitsilano. They are the same restaurant group as Kingyo in downtown. Their concept seems retro, and the primary menu is Kushi Katsu , in addition to Izakaya menu. Complimentary Appetizer Cabbage with special salty dressing. This appy was so good and refreshing. I was surprised we can eat this in Canada! Yes, it is hard to bite, but more you chew, tastier it gets.

A ton of great memories were created here, so I was really glad to hear that Rajio is back in the somewhat post-pandemic world. Kushikatsu Kushiage are skewers of meat and vegetables that are breaded with panko and deep fried to golden crisp. You can then dip it in a delicious communal sauce. It is a local specialty in Osaka and is such a great street food!
